Dr. Charles O. Marfo attended the University of Ghana, Legon-Accra, where he read Linguistics and Philosophy for his B.A. degree. After that, he pursued and received M.Phil degree in Linguistics at the University of Tromsø in Norway. He has also obtained Ph.D degree in Linguistics at the University of Hong Kong. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages  at  The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana and an adjunct lecturer in the Department of English at the same university.
